Dinner at The Kitchen

It happened! We had our much-awaited dinner at The Kitchen last night, and it was as incredible as we hoped it would be.

The whole meal for us both with the $75.00 wine we chose cost $443.23, including the 20% service charge and sales tax. It is $135.00 per person. Keep that in mind when you plan on going. We opted out of the House Flight, which would have been $85.00/person. The House Flight featured classic food and wine pairings. They also offered a Reserve Flight at $135.00 per person

We were seated at the counter, which was the best seat in the house because we got to watch the food being prepared right in front of us. Better than the tables.

Can you tell that we starved ourselves all day in preparation for this?
The Playbill was useful. I found myself checking it every other half hour, building anticipating for each act.
The backstory of this cabernet sauvignon is that DJ Vitamix quit rapping, became a sommelier, and created his own brand of wines.
For $75, it breaks even with the retail price + corkage fee.
This was really smooth wine that went well with the dishes we had.
Making the appetizers
Deep-fried olives were perfect.
We were free to walk around and watch the staff prepare the appetizers.
I don’t know what this was, but it was delectable.
